- Required Surface Prep – Dashboard must be fully cleaned with only water and a lint-free cloth. Do not use oils or protectants. After cleaning, mount the TemperBond suction cup directly to the dashboard or windshield. Keep the cup clean and never place it over seams, joints, slopes, textured, or uneven areas. Do not install the adhesive pad except in the specific situations outlined below.
- Approved Mounting Surfaces – Flat, non-porous dashboards and windshields only. Lightly textured surfaces can hold, but medium/heavy textures or sloped areas are not permitted. In hot or high-UV climates, dashboard surfaces can exceed suction ratings and cause lifting—mounting directly to the windshield provides the most secure, heat-resistant installation. If grip weakens, clean the suction cup with mild dish soap and warm water, rinse, air dry, and reuse like new.
- Adhesive Pad Usage – The 3M pad is only approved for real leather or heavily textured dashboards. It must never be applied to smooth, soft-touch, or sloped surfaces. One-time use only: press firmly for 30–60 seconds, then allow 36–72 hrs curing before attaching the mount.
